Frequently asked questions
Do I need kayaking experience?
No experience is needed for our guided tours - our instructors guide you the whole way and provide all the equipment. Self-guided rentals are for experienced paddlers and require a valid kayak proficiency certificate.
What is included?
Every experience includes the kayak, paddle, spray skirt and safety gear. Just bring warm, water-resistant clothing and footwear.
What is the minimum age?
All participants must be at least 15 years old.
Where do we meet?
At the ENOV kayak boathouse on the small boat basin at Vestmanna harbour, by Vestmanna church on Bakkavegur. Directions, a map and travel times are on our Getting There page.
How far is Vestmanna from the airport and Tórshavn?
About 40 minutes by car from Vágar Airport or Tórshavn, with free parking at the quayside.
